Terms of Service

1. The service
Shelf Analyzer diagnoses whether AI shopping assistants recommend a brand over its competitors and suggests product-data improvements. It does this by running automated, web-grounded simulations and generating a report of results and suggested fixes.
2. Accounts
You sign in using a one-time link sent to your email, so you are responsible for maintaining access to and the security of your email account. You agree to provide accurate information and to be responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract.
3. Plans, billing, and renewals
- We offer a free tier and paid subscription plans (currently Starter and Growth). Plan features and prices are shown in the app and may change with notice.
- Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through our payment processor, Stripe, and renew automatically until cancelled.
- You authorize us and Stripe to charge your payment method for each billing cycle. Prices exclude taxes unless stated; you are responsible for applicable taxes.
- If a payment fails, we may retry, downgrade, or suspend paid features until payment succeeds.
4. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel at any time through the billing portal in your account. When you cancel, you keep access to paid features until the end of your current billing period, and you will not be charged again after that. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable, and we do not provide refunds or credits for partial periods. [Adjust this refund stance to your preference before publishing.]
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or harmful purpose.
- Submit information you do not have the right to use, or another party's confidential or personal information.
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service or its systems.
- Resell or provide the service to third parties except as expressly permitted by your plan.
- Circumvent usage limits, quotas, or access controls, including by creating multiple accounts to exceed free-tier limits.
6. AI-generated output — no guarantee
Shelf Analyzer's results are generated by AI models and automated web search and are estimates, not statements of fact. They may be incomplete, out of date, or inaccurate, and they reflect simulated behavior that can differ from any specific AI assistant or real purchase outcome. Results are provided for informational purposes only and are not professional, legal, financial, or business advice. You are solely responsible for any decisions you make based on them. We do not warrant any particular result, ranking, or business outcome.
7. Intellectual property
We own the service, including its software, design, and branding. You retain ownership of the inputs you submit, and you grant us a limited license to process them to provide the service. Subject to these Terms, you may use the diagnosis reports we generate for you for your own business purposes.
8. Third-party content and links
The service references third-party brands, products, and web pages (including URLs you provide). We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, and references to brands do not imply affiliation or endorsement.
9. Availability
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation and may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD $50, and we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits or revenue.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims and expenses arising out of your misuse of the service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
12. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the service or other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and any disputes will be resolved in the courts located there, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
